Best Vegan Breakfast In Carlisle

Where serves the BEST vegan breakfast in Carlisle? We’ll tell you.

Why Carlisle?

We were driving from Norwich to Fort William but after about seven hours of driving on some terrible roads (Dear England, it’s really embarrassing!) we decided to take a break in Carlisle.

Now Cumbria, bless it’s heart, is not renowned for its vegan fare. It’s a traditional county where livestock have long been bred. Whilst it makes for pretty photos it doesn’t make being vegan very easy. My trusty HappyCow App came up with a blank which is very surprising so we hit Google and the streets of Carlisle in search of a vegan breakfast fit for princely, ravenous travellers who still had five hours left on their journey.

As a small child my favourite book was 'People of the World' which featured Inuits from Alaska, children from China and farmers from Peru. It was a glimpse into another world that would inspire me to wander the globe in search of something special.
